COMMENDING AND EXPRESSING GRATITUDE TO THE WORLD MISSION SOCIETY CHURCH OF GOD FOR CONDUCTING A CLEANUP DRIVE IN THE CITY OF BAGUIO ON 06 FEB. 2020.


WHEREAS, in a bid to promote a cleaner environment, the World Mission Society Church of God spearheads the conduct of cleanup drives in the different cities and municipalities in the Philippines. Said cleanup drive is part of the “Mother’s Street.” A series of global cleanup campaign of member churches of the World Mission Society Church of God:


WHEREAS, on 06 February 2020, the World Mission Society Church of God conducted cleaning activities in the City of Baguio particularly from Lucban Elementary School, Magsaysay Avenue, Baguio City to city limit at Sitios Stonehill, Botiw-tiw and Sadjap of Barangay Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet;


WHEREAS, more than 120 volunteers from their churches in Baguio City, Urdaneta City, Dagupan City, and San Fernando City, La Union participated in the event and they were able to collect more than 35 bags of trash after the cleanup;


WHEREAS, this initiative of the Church has been recognized internationally by the United Nations, the Queen of England, the United States, and South Korea as well as cities in the Philippines such as Davao, Cebu, Quezon City, Caloocan City, to name a few; and


WHEREAS, the Church also deserves commendation from the City Government of Baguio as said endeavor has greatly contributed to its environment protection and conservation advocacies;


NOW, THEREFORE, on motion, duly seconded, be it


RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to commend and express gratitude to the World Mission Society Church of God for conducting cleanup drive in the City of Baguio on 06 February 2020.
