ASEZ (SAVE THE EARTH FROM A TO Z)

Whereas, it is fitting and proper to recognize organizations whose mission and efforts bring lasting benefit to our environment and communities; and

Whereas, ASEZ, a global volunteer group of university students, has demonstrated outstanding commitment to environmental protection through its Zero Plastic 2040 Campaign, a forward-thinking initiative that aims to eliminate plastic waste by the year 2040 through education, volunteerism, and sustainable action; and

Whereas, in pursuit of this mission, ASEZ has engaged students and local residents in meaningful activities that raise awareness about plastic pollution and promote environmental stewardship, including today's beach cleanup at Coney Island Creek, which helps restore the natural beauty and health of our coastal ecosystems; and

Whereas, the dedication, unity, and civic-minded spirit displayed by ASEZ volunteers serves as an inspiration to communities across our city, state, and the world;

Now, therefore, be it resolved, that I, Assemblymember Alec Brook-Krasny of the 46th Assembly District, do hereby recognize and commend ASEZ for its tireless efforts to create a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable future for all, and I extend my best wishes for continued success in the Zero Plastic 2040 Campaign.
