Recognizing The World Mission Society Church of God for Outstanding Service

Whereas, The World Mission Society Church of God, established in 1964, is a global faith-based organization with over 7,800 locations worldwide, including a congregation in Oklahoma County District 1, and is devoted to spreading the love of Mother to neighbors and communities through selfless humanitarian efforts; and

Whereas, The World Mission Society Church of God aligns its volunteer initiatives with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, carrying out environmental cleanups, tree plantings, disaster relief efforts, educational forums, and lifesaving blood drives that contribute to a healthier and more sustainable future for all.

Whereas, The World Mission Society Church of God volunteer efforts demonstrate the Oklahoma County standard of community, service and compassion in action.

Whereas, The World Mission Society Church of God will host its Annual Blood Drive on March 15, 2026, with the goal of saving hundreds of local lives by providing critical blood donations to those in need. Approximately 1 in 3 people will need a blood transfusion in their lifetime which is why acts of service like these are vital and crucial to us all.

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, I, Jason Lowe, Oklahoma County Commissioner for District 1, do hereby recognize The World Mission Society Church of God for their service, leadership, and dedication to advancing the well-being of our communities in Oklahoma County.
